Chess Puzzle of the Week (216): Solution

On Monday I set you an endgame study composed by Alexander Herbstman and Leonid Kubbel, which won 1st prize in the 1937 Troitzky Tourney.

White to play and draw. It’s basic knowledge that KNN v K is a draw (but KNNN v K is, usually, a win).

Here’s the extraordinary solution, which is all about forks and stalemates. I do hope you enjoyed solving it. Clicking on any move will give you a pop-up window to enable you to play through it.
