We’re thrilled to announce that we’re starting a new chess and strategy games club for children in Twickenham Library next month.

The club will be run by Marie Gallagher and myself. Marie, who is a former (and perhaps future) member of Richmond & Twickenham Chess Club, has many years experience running primary school chess clubs. Her brother is GM Joe Gallagher.

Because the club is part of the Richmond Library Services it’s completely free and staffed by unpaid volunteers.

I’ll post more over the next few weeks about the ideas behind the club, but, in the meantime, we’d be grateful if you could pass on this information to anyone you know who might be interested.
