Black to play
From 17 April 1922 (perhaps I should try to find puzzles from the same week, rather than the same month in my 100 Years Ago series).
Prokes and Wolf continued 68… Rd3 69. Rh1 c2 70. Rg1 Rd1+ and White resigned. Perhaps you’d like to comment on their moves, bearing in mind that White was a famous composer of endgame studies.
Excelling at endings, especially rook endings and pawn endings, is increasingly important in these days of faster time limits. If you have anything interesting to say about these moves, do please get in touch.
