Our venue is:

Cambridge Park Bowls & Sports Club
Cambridge Park
Twickenham
TW1 2PG

Please read our briefing note concerning the new venue here.

All members are required to complete an associate membership form for the Bowls Club which can be downloaded here.

The Bowls Club constitution can be read here.

The bowls club is ideally situated in East Twickenham, half way between Richmond and Twickenham town centres, and with excellent public transport links. We will have much more space than at our previous venue, there is car parking on site, and it is also fully accessible.

There is a bar there which we hope to keep open during our meeting hours, as well as kitchen facilities. There is also an excellent pub (The Rising Sun) across the road.

We will be meeting on THURSDAY evenings (NOT Tuesdays), playing, as usual, from 7:30 onwards.

Here is the immediate area: the bowls club is the building to the south west of the bowling green: you’ll notice the bridge club on the other side.

The car park can be accessed as indicated above. There is also a pedestrian entrance opposite 8 Cambridge Park. If you take the ramped entrance it will take you straight into our room.

Coming by car?

See the maps here. If you’re coming from the West, or from Central London, turn off the A316 onto St Margarets Road (A3004) at the St Margarets Roundabout. We have use of the car park on site during our Thursday evening meeting hours.

Coming by bus?

Four bus routes serve St Stephen’s Church, running between Richmond and Twickenham: the 33 (Barnes to Fulwell), 490 (Richmond to Heathrow), R68 (Kew to Hampton Court) and R70 (Richmond to Hampton).

In addition, two bus routes serve Poplar Court, a very short walk away: the 110 (Hammersmith to Hounslow) and H37 (Richmond to Hounslow).

Coming by train?

The nearest station is St Margarets, served by trains from Waterloo, half a mile away. From there you can either walk (via JMW Turner’s house in Sandycoombe Road) or take the 110 or H37 bus two stops to Poplar Court.

Alternatively, more trains stop at Twickenham: exit left from the station and walk 5 minutes to York Street, from where you can take any bus to St Stephen’s Church.

Coming by underground?

Take the District Line to Richmond station, from where you can take the 490, R68 or R70 to either Cambridge Park or St Stephen’s Church, or the 110 or H37 bus to Poplar Court.

Here’s the wider area, including St Margarets Station.
