Chess Puzzle of the Week (191)

This week we have another minor piece ending. It’s a game position but, with colours reversed, could almost have been an endgame study.

It’s not so easy to solve but will be well worth your while. You’ll need to set it up yourself and move the pieces round the board. A great test of your endgame knowledge and calculating ability which will be challenging even for our A team players!

Black to play and win. (Gibbs – Lazarus Chessable English Seniors 50+ 2022)
