Two draws and two wins, one by default, to report this week.

First of all, catching up with the remaining match from last week, our D team drew their match away to Harrow A.

It seems like Alex failed to arrive: I’m not sure what happened, but it’s not the easiest of journeys, especially in the rush hour. Wins from Tom and David, along with two draws, brought us a share of the spoils.

Last Tuesday our TVA team were scheduled to play Hammersmith, but our opponents contacted us not much more than three hours before the start to tell us they were unable to raise a team.

There was still action at the Adelaide, though, with our TVC team welcoming Ealing B for a swift return match.

Even though Ealing were well short of full strength, we were still outrated on all but board 6, so the result was highly creditable. Great wins for Peter and Mike RC against strong and experienced opponents as well as a good win for Harry.

On the same evening our TVD team were entertaining Maidenhead C at the Twickenham Club.

Another excellent result here, with wins on the top three boards. Special congratulations to Tom for his win with the black pieces against an opponent rated 100 points above him. and well done also to Alex and Barry.
