The position I left you with on Monday was an endgame study composed by Nikolay Grigoriev (1938), again taken from Zlotnik’s Treasure Trove (Boris Zlotnik, New in Chess 2023).
This is a combination of simple visualisation skills and basic endgame knowledge: if the white king reaches g7 without the pawn being lost it’s a win, while if the black king reaches f7 it’s a draw.
