Chess Puzzle of the Week (249): Solution

The position I left you with on Monday was an endgame study composed by Nikolay Grigoriev (1938), again taken from Zlotnik’s Treasure Trove (Boris Zlotnik, New in Chess 2023).

This is a combination of simple visualisation skills and basic endgame knowledge: if the white king reaches g7 without the pawn being lost it’s a win, while if the black king reaches f7 it’s a draw. I hope you managed to find the correct answer. You can play it though here: as always, click on any move for a pop-up window.
