Chess Puzzle of the Week (250)

Another pawn ending for you this week. The good news is that you have seven pawns, two of which are close to promotion, while your opponent has none at all. The bad news is that, as this is Puzzle 250, you have to checkmate the black king in just 5 (yes, it’s 250 divided by 50) moves.

This problem was composed by Darjan Marjanovic (Mat Plus 2009) and was posted on Facebook by Steven Dowd. It’s not so hard: if you think that mates in 5 are too hard for you, this problem might prove you wrong.
