On Monday I left you with a mate in 2 composed by local trolleybus driver and chess enthusiast Harry Gunning, about whom I’ll be writing much more over the next few weeks. It was a first prize winner in the Busmen’s Chess Review in 1962.

The solution is 1. Qf2, when, regardless of Black’s reply, mate follows next move.
